Cancun Mexico

Tour #12

December 5-12, 2009

For the first time, we have made reservations in Cancun at an All-Inclusive resort which is now known as the #1 destination in all of Mexico. Located at the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun offers a variety of activities including spectacular sunsets. Best of all, you will be staying at the deluxe All-Inclusive RIU Caribe Hotel where every room has a balcony that overlooks the white sand beaches and the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. This beautiful All- Inclusive resort includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks each day with your choice of 4 different restaurants. Just imagine, no food or drinks to buy for a week! All deluxe oceanview rooms also have a complimentary minibar, so come and join us for some "Fun In The Sun." The hotel has a large swimming pool, a gorgeous beach plus there are tennis courts, beach volleyball, a gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. There are all kinds of water sports such as sailing, wind surfing, water skiing, wave runners and deep-sea fishing.

Nearby are several archaeological sites. One of the greatest attractions is Tulum, a city overlooking the coast with over 55 buildings dating back to 564 A.D. and is one of the few walled cities of the Mayan Empire. You can visit Chichen Itza, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. You'll marvel at the world famous Kukulcan Pyramid as there are very few places in the world where you can see a pyramid of this size. On one evening, you can attend a meeting at the local Kingdom Hall.

Isla Mujeres, a charming island just northwest of Cancun is just a quick boat ride away. Other activities include Xcaret, an amusement park that is a historic site and nature reserve where you can swim with the dolphins or float on a raft in an underground river. On one of the days you might want to take a ride in an underwater submarine to view all the marine life or you can take a 2 mile long canopy tour and fly through the forest on 12 different zip lines. You can also drive your own speed boat following a guide that will take you through all the mangroves and channels out to the sea for snorkeling. In the evening there are lobster dinner cruises. So whether your interests are in ancient civilizations or just wanting to relax on a sandy beach with crystal clear blue waters, you are certain to enjoy Cancun.
