PANAMA is a small country in Central America between the two oceans. Besides the famous Panama Canal that’s called the “8th Wonder of the World,” the country is known for its history and wildlife with over 900 species of birds. Breakfast is included daily plus three lunches and four dinners. Best of all, the warm weather will be ideal as you travel on land, water and by train. This is now the most popular tour in Central America!

Apr. 10 Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel in Panama City.

Apr. 11 Today, tour this modern city and the ruins of the Spanish settlement. Visit the seafood market and tour the Presidential Palace. Drive to Ancon’s Peak for a fantastic view of the City. Tonight enjoy a culinary demonstration with a chef to learn how Panamanian dishes are prepared.

Apr. 12
See the Panama Canal and how a series of locks raises a ship using no power other than gravity. It takes 8 hours for ships to pass through the locks at a cost of around $48,000 each. The building of the canal took 50,000 people from 1903–1914 so ships could travel between the two oceans. Lunch is included and then you will board the historic Panama Canal train that will take you to the deluxe 5-star Gamboa Resort in the rainforest.

Apr. 13 Start with a nature walk followed by an exciting boat trip through the locks of the Canal including lunch and a visit to the Marketplace. Tonight, a seafood dinner is included while watching 4 million ton ships pass by at a great oceanfront restaurant.

Apr. 14 Free day at this exotic, eco-resort. Enjoy the butterfly house, orchid nursery or take an optional tram ride through the forest.

Apr. 15 Another exciting day as you take a dugout canoe into the jungle to the Embera Indian Village where you are met by the tribe with music and dances. Learn about their culture, foods and way of life including lunch served on palm leaves. After returning to your hotel, dinner is included at a unique restaurant where you can even learn the Salsa dance.

Apr. 16 Depart to the luxurious, oceanfront 5-star Intercontinental Playa Bonita resort. Each room has an ocean view balcony.

Apr. 17 Enjoy the beach. Take a nature walk or visit a pineapple farm. Enjoy a “Farewell Dinner” with all the friends traveling with you on this tour.

Apr. 18 Everyone will be transferred to the airport for the return flight home.
