From
the Tower Bridge in London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and then to
Brussels in Belgium, you’ll enjoy seeing some of Europe’s greatest cities
and their treasures. Best of all, you’ll travel on high speed trains
including a Chunnel crossing on the Eurostar. Imagine visiting famous
attractions and taking in the countryside as your train speeds to each
destination.
Nov. 2 Everyone will fly
overnight from their hometown to London, England. Enjoy dinner and a
movie as you cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Upon arrival in LONDON, you’ll see such sights as Buckingham Palace,
Tower Bridge, Big Ben beside the River Thames, the Houses of Parliament
and Trafalgar Square. You will then check into your hotel. Balance of
the day free to relax. Tonight there is a “Welcome Dinner.”

Following breakfast, you are free to explore London on your own and
discover the charm that makes this city so popular. There will be an
optional tour of Queen Elizabeth’s residence at Windsor Castle that
was built in the 11th century. In the evening, there are many restaurants
and if you like, you can attend a London play.

Breakfast at leisure and then you can visit the British Museum, Tower
of London and the famous Harrods Department Store. (Awake 10/06, p.
15) You can also take transportation to visit the Watchtower Branch
Office.

Today will be exciting as you board the Eurostar train and travel the
countryside through the “Chunnel” to PARIS. This is history in the making
as it takes only three hours to travel from London to Paris including
twenty minutes under the English Channel traveling at 180 mph. Upon
arrival in Paris, the “City of Lights,” you will tour this romantic
city. See the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Champs-Elysees,
the Opera House, Notre Dame, the River Seine and much more.
Nov. 7 Breakfast at leisure
and then you have the entire day to explore Paris known for its sidewalk
cafes. You may want to visit the Louvre, Europe’s largest museum. There
will also be an optional tour to the Palace of Versailles or you can
take a cruise on the River Seine.

Following breakfast you’ll be transferred to the train station to board
the high-speed train to BRUSSELS in Belgium. Upon arrival, you will
enjoy a tour of this beautiful European city in the Medieval square
that is over 1,000 years old. See what is called the “Grand Place“ that’s
surrounded by ancient houses decorated with gables, ornate facades and
incredible carvings. Most impressive is the historic town hall, a gothic
masterpiece.

This will be your last full day in Europe. Enjoy many other sights of
the city or join the optional tour to the city of Bruges with its water
canals that’s called “The Venice of the North.” You’ll also visit the
flower city of Ghent known for its beautiful flowers that are shipped
all over the world. Tonight there will be a special “Farewell Dinner”
with your fellow travelers.
