This
exciting tour to England and Scotland begins in London, Europe’s largest
city. Your motorcoach will travel through Britain’s diverse landscapes
and villages to the rugged Scottish highlands. Great Britain is known
for its traditional thatched cottages and green countryside. This is
also the best time of the year to travel and at a most reasonable price.
Mar. 18 Depart your home
city on an overnight flight to London. Enjoy dinner and a movie as you
cross the Atlantic Ocean.

19 Arrive
London and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day free to start
exploring one of the most popular cities. (See Awake, 10/06, p. 15)

After breakfast, you’ll see Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben,
Trafalgar Square and much more. Afternoon free to visit the British
Museum, the Tower of London, or some of the many other interesting sights.

Depart London by motorcoach through the countryside to visit Salisbury
and to see the ancient “Stonehenge” (as pictured above). This is one
the most famous sights in the world as these monuments date back to
2500 B.C. Continue to the beautiful Georgian city of Bath and to your
hotel in Bristol. Tonight you will enjoy a “Welcome Dinner” with all
of the friends who will be traveling with you.

Tour the famous Wedgewood Pottery Center. Continue to the city of Chester,
to see the Roman Walls, the Tudor architecture, and the shops known
as “Rows” from the Medieval times. Next, head north to our hotel and
the Lake District, renowned for its magnificent scenery including dinner.

Admire the scenery and visit the home that inspired the poet William
Wordsworth to write the renown “Daffodil’s.” A stop will be made at
the Moffat Woollen Centre before arriving in Edinburgh, the capital
of Scotland.

See the highlights of this elegant city including a tour inside Edinburgh
Castle. Rest of the day at leisure. Tonight there is an optional Scottish
dinner show including Highland dances and bagpipes.

Drive through the National Park to the city of York to walk through
the “Shambles” which is a street so narrow that if you stand with arms
out stretched you can touch the houses on both sides. Tonight there
is a special “Farewell Dinner” in a delightful English restaurant.

Travel to Coventry and then to Stratford-upon- Avon to visit Shakespeare’s
birthplace and see Anne Hathaway’s cottage. Next is a scenic drive through
the charming Cotswolds and then to your hotel in London for your last
night in Europe.

Transfer to the airport for the return flight to the U.S.A. with many
memories of the United Kingdom. |
