Southern Caribbean Cruise

Tour #9

Puerto Rico/Aruba/Bonaire Greneda/Dominica/St.Thomas

January 25-February 1, 2009

Each year friends from everywhere have enjoyed sailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, in ideal warm weather to the heart of the tropics. The magnificent “Caribbean Princess” is a floating resort with 4 swimming pools plus a swim-against-the-current lap pool and a 9-hole golf putting course. The ship is longer than 3 football fields and offers more ways to relax, dine, shop, swim, sun and dance than you can imagine. There is also a large outdoor movie screen by the swimming pool where you can watch movies in the daytime or under the stars. Make your own airline reservations to San Juan or call our office for the cruise line airfare. You can also spend some time before or after the cruise in San Juan, as there are many attractions to visit.

Jan. 25 You can board the ship in the afternoon, as the ship does not depart SAN JUAN until 9:00 p.m. Separate dining room tables will be reserved just for our group of friends from around the country.

Jan. 26 This will be a “Fun Day at Sea” to relax and enjoy all the ship’s facilities including the swimming pools, hot tubs and plenty of deck space. Tonight you are invited to the Captain’s Cocktail Reception and Dinner.

Jan. 27 Today’s highlight will be ARUBA, a beautiful island just off the coast of Venezuela, South America. The Dutch took possession of Aruba in 1636 and it is known for its powder-white beaches and duty-free shopping. You will enjoy Oranjestad, a charming city with a Dutch flavor and quaint, colorful houses.

Jan. 28 Be sure to be on deck this morning to see BONAIRE, a small island in the Dutch Caribbean that is known for the preservation of nature. You will enjoy the warm climate of the island along with the friendliness of the people where you can purchase souvenirs including art and jewelry.

Jan. 29 Today you will enjoy GRENADA, the “Spice Island”, one of the most beautiful in the West Indies with lush valleys, volcanic mountains and lovely beaches. Its capital is the prettiest in the Caribbean as it is small, quaint, and unspoiled with fragrant flowering Frangipani trees. Best buys are cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and straw items.

Jan. 30 Arrive DOMINICA where you will have a full day to explore this beautiful island where nature is the main attraction. There are rain forests, lush valleys, beaches, rushing waterfalls and a variety of flowers.

Jan. 31 Today’s highlight is ST. THOMAS, an island surrounded by crystal clear waters with hundreds of jewelry stores. Great buys on jewelry, china and perfume. Take a tour to the mountaintop or visit Bluebeard’s Castle on this tropical island. The beach at Magen’s Bay is one of the 10 most beautiful in the world.

Feb. 1 Arrive San Juan this morning to board your return flight home.
