Spain
is one of the most exciting countries in Europe as it is described as
awesome, inspiring and breathtaking. While traveling through the major
parts of Spain, you'll see some of its beautiful countryside including
countless castles and blue skies which is what makes Spain a popular
country to visit. Besides sightseeing, breakfast is included daily plus
four dinners making this a great tour at a bargain rate.
Nov. 13 Everyone will
fly overnight from their hometown city to Madrid, Spain. Enjoy dinner
and a movie as you cross the Atlantic Ocean.
Nov.14 Arrive Madrid and
transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day free to begin exploring this
city with over 2,000 years of history. Tonight, enjoy a welcome drink
with your tour director and meet all the friends on this tour.
Nov. 15 After breakfast,
you will see the highlights of Madrid with its beautiful fountains,
including the Royal Palace and the magnificent Plaza Mayor Square. (Awake
6/22/03, p. 23) Later, you will visit the ancient city of Toledo situated
high on a hillside, that's also the home of the famous painter El Greco.

Nov. 16 Board a deluxe
motorcoach to Cordoba, home of Don Quixote where you will learn of the
Moorish history. Next, continue to Seville, your home for the next two
nights. This evening, dinner is included at your hotel.
Nov. 17 Today you'll tour
the romantic city of Seville. See the Moorish architecture and learn
how the city was conquered in 205 B.C. by the Romans. Seville is a gorgeous
city with flower-decked wrought iron balconies. Afternoon free to relax
and shop for ceramics. (Awake 7/22/03, p.14) Tonight you may want to
see one of the best Spanish Flamenco shows in Spain.

18 Enjoy a scenic drive to Granada where you will tour
one of the most remarkable fortresses ever built, the Alhambra. Explore
this exquisite palace built by the Moors as a royal summer residence
in the 13th century. It was made of cut stone and is surrounded by exotic
water gardens and fountains. Tonight, a dinner of local specialties
is included in this hilltop town.

19 Today you'll cross the Mora pass through the superb
scenery of the Sierra Nevada with its magnificent mountain views. Arrive
Valencia where you will see the bull ring and other highlights of the
city that's also renowned for its orange and almond groves. Dinner is
again included at the hotel.
Nov. 20 Travel along the
Mediterranean Coast to Peniscola and to see the white-walled cottages
and the castle used in movies. Continue to Barcelona, where you will
tour the highlights of the city including a walk through the Gothic
quarter and its open-air markets. (Awake 7/8/03, p. 14)
Nov. 21 The entire day
is free to explore this fascinating city and its famous museums. Tonight,
you'll enjoy a special "Farewell Dinner" with wine.
Nov. 22 Transfer to the
Barcelona airport for your return flight home.
