TOUR #6 – Mediterranean Cruise

September 21 – 29, 2019




This exciting cruise departs from BARCELONA, Spain on one of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s largest ships, the “BRILLIANCE OF THE SEAS.” Enjoy the most popular destinations in Europe including world-class performers in all the Broadway musical productions. There will be optional Tours in each port where you can visit the FRENCH RIVIERA plus ROME and FLORENCE. You can also visit the ruins of POMPEII or Tour the famous AMALFI COAST and then there’s PORTOFINO, known for its exclusive hilltop villages. Each day breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. There are shops on board including several specialty restaurants featuring Italian, French, Chinese and a Japanese Hibachi plus a steak house for a nominal surcharge. This is a great way to see Europe at the lowest possible cost, as each port is totally different. (IMPORTANT: Make reservations early to avoid being placed on a waiting list.)

Sep. 21 Everyone will fly overnight from any US or Canadian city to BARCELONA, Spain. Enjoy dinner and a movie as you cross the Atlantic Ocean to the most popular ports in Europe.

Sep. 22 Arrive in Barcelona and transfer to the cruise ship for lunch and to start exploring this enormous ship that’s like a floating hotel. Tonight, separate dining room tables will be reserved just for our group of Jehovah’s Witnesses so you can meet Friends from around the country on this exciting cruise.

Sep. 23 Be on deck this morning as you enter the harbor of VILLEFRANCHE, France for a fun day to visit the FRENCH RIVERA, including cafés, museums and boutiques on the streets of NICE. Enjoy seeing the city and the hilltop villages where you can have a wine tasting in the oldest city of France known for its sidewalk cafés and famous French pastries. Each year thousands of people travel here for the beautiful views as it is home to the most scenic, breathtaking cliffs along the French coastline.

Sep. 24 Early this morning you’ll arrive in PORTOFINO, Italy, an amazing picture postcard of the Italian coast, known as one of the most beautiful places on earth. Stroll around the waterfront where beautiful lace tablecloths and shawls are made locally. This is where Europe’s elite reside along the seaside.

Sep. 25 Arrive in LIVORNO, Italy where you can Tour FLORENCE, birthplace of the Renaissance. You’ll marvel at the Florentine treasures and museums that feature artists like Botticelli and Donatello. Florence is famous for bargains on jewelry, Italian leather goods, gloves and shoes in the outdoor market. You can also Tour Tuscany to see the famous “Leaning Tower of Pisa.”

Sep. 26 Another fun day to remember as you dock at the port of CIVITAVECCHIA. Entire day free to visit ROME, known as the “Eternal City” and world empire of Bible history. On the sightseeing Tour you’ll learn the history of Rome. See the magnificent Colosseum, site of gladiator fights and the Circus Maximus where “Ben Hur” chariot races were once held. Some Tours include visiting St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, the largest church in Christendom. (Awake, 4/8/91, p.24) See the Spanish steps, the Piazza Navona and the famous Trevi fountain. Be sure to try some Italian gelato.

Sep. 27 Your final port will be SALERNO where you will have a variety of things to see and do, including Tours to SORRENTO and POSITANO. You can al so visit POMPEII where ancient Romans once lived and is where over 20,000 lives were lost under the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. (See Awake 2/07, p.14) Here you can still see the ancient buildings and streets where people were buried alive as this is one of the most awesome experiences in Italy. You can also take a Tour along the winding cliff side of the AMALFI COAST which is one of the most famous drives in the world where houses cling to the hillsides. Tonight is a dress up evening, as the chefs have prepared a surprise dinner with singing waiters plus other entertainment.

Sep. 28 A “Fun Day at Sea” to enjoy the warm weather around the swimming pool including all the exciting onboard activities. Each day you can eat at the restaurant of your choice followed by spectacular Broadway shows.

Sep. 29 Arrive BARCELONA and transfer to the airport for your return flight home with many memories of your exciting Mediterranean Cruise.


CRUISE ONLY INCLUDES: All meals, entertainment, choice of an inside cabin without a window, or an outside cabin with a picture window. All balcony cabins have a private patio overlooking the ocean, so you can enjoy a morning coffee and a beautiful sunset. You can make your own flight arrangements to Barcelona, Spain or call our office for the airfare from any US or Canadian city, including transportation to and from the ship. (Depending on your departure city, the approximate round-trip airfare is $1,000-$1,300 to Barcelona)


Above prices are per person for the cruise only from Barcelona based on two people sharing a cabin including all TAXES AND GOVERNMENT FEES. If you do not have a roommate, we will attempt to assign one for you. (PASSPORT IS REQUIRED).
